Special Note (4/25/04):  For those of you who are flying FS2004 now, use your Bell 206 default helicopter as your trainer.   I will maintain these files to help those still flying older versions.  This is set up for FS 98 and FS2000 only. For those of you using FS 98 or 2000, feel free to use whatever helicopter you feel comfortable in.  Try a Bell 47 or Robinson 22 or 44 for the best results.

Welcome to the LZ helicopter flight school. Our school is located at the Reno/Stead airport in Nevada. This site offers nice scenery. It isn't so intense that it slows your system down to a point that it effects your control of the helicopters you will be flying.

My name is Ron and I will be your flight instructor throughout your training here at the LZ.  First we will be going through the ground school portion of your training.  These lessons will be completed at your own pace. Throughout your training you will learn about helicopters and how they fly. You will learn how to fly, beginning in your Bell 206.  All flight training was done in FS 98.  Will work in FS 2000 but some scenery will appear differently.

I suspect that you will have loads of fun from this point forward.  So why don't we get started by downloading the stn.file which is the LZ flight school. You could also select the default Reno/Stead airport on your FS program. The stn file has no additional scenery added to insure that we all see the same mountains, structures and airport layout.  After doing that, go ahead and spool up the Bell 206 Jet Ranger and begin the training.

Reno/Stead Airport       Place in your "pilots" directory in FS 98 & 2000

FS2004, use your default Bell helicopter or Bell 47 found on the Rotor Gold page.

To aid you visually in the Bell 206 download this excellent HUD "Heads up Display"
