A Few Words from The LZ
It is with great pleasure to announce the VERT as the Top Featured website here at the LZ. At the LZ it is our mission to help all new and veteran virtual helicopter pilots enjoy the great experience of flying helicopters and aviation in general. We constantly monitor all resources of information that may benefit everyone so that we get the most from our hobby. I have watched many people work countless hours putting together virtual helicopter airlines, businesses, charter services and other virtual aviation ventures. Most have fallen short of their expectations. Then came along a VA that includes FS helicopters that has really made a difference. In 2004, VERT stepped up and gave us all somewhere to call home and fly as a team. VERT has grown into a wonderful place for veteran and new pilots alike. The LZ would like to personally thank VERT for all they do for our FS Helicopter community. So let me turn this over to Brett Pearce, of VERT.

As a real world firefighter/paramedic and an avid aviation enthusiast, I came up with the idea for an emergency services based virtual airline when I found myself looking for somewhere to fly medevac, and firefighting related missions. Much to my surprise I could not find a single one.
With the help of some great folks at Hovercontrol and a dedicated staff we were able to launch VERTva. With the continued effort of a dedicated staff and a truly talented membership we have continued to evolve.
We are in the process of adding a new dimension to VERT and incorporating a passenger and cargo airline. We feel this will allow for more crowded skies and added membership from the community.
