Upgrade Policy
The LZ recognizes the
constant changes in FS software and the need to always upgrade your helicopters
to be compatible. We (The LZ) have a very fair upgrade policy for your
$7.00 investment.
1: Helos purchased
within this last calendar year (2004) will be upgraded for free.
2: Helos purchased prior
to that January 1, 2004 will require proof of purchase and then upgraded for
free.
3: You have 30 days to
apply for any upgraded helicopter after it has been released. This
will take effect beginning November 24th 2003. Upgrades after the 30 days
will be at a discounted price of 50%.
4: Please include
the Serial number of the helicopters you are requesting upgrades for.

Since the release of FS2004 or FS9 Century of Flight, we have
been asked more than once about the helos of various Series and the
compatibility with FS2004.
There are pictures that will show better than I can
describe what a common ship from Series 2, Series 3, Series 4, Series 5 looks
like when placed into FS2004.
The new Series 5 gets you the same functionality and the
default Bell 206 in FS2004.
The big difference is when the specialty animation of Light
Housings, Hoists, Winches, SAR, and Fire Suppression devices
remain static on the model. This may take the form of fully retracted or fully
extended. Either way it is locked for now. This is scheduled for rework for
FS2004 as we continue to work with Microsoft and get this resolved.
We have studied FS2002 and compared to FS2004 and listened to
our Customers comparative evaluations. For all the specialty feature the SAR
and Fire Suppression helos have, Customers are hanging with 2002. People new
to the sim environment and not necessarily aware of all the differences are
choosing the newer FS2004.

Bell 412 Series is going to Series 5
and anybody that purchased one this year can get a free upgrade. Just
email the "page" you received from the factory as proof of purchase.
The CH/MH-53E helos have been modified to allow
for the torque meter to work.
In addition, we will be offering a new panel with
a 3 engine LED torque meter gauge to go with it.
This will be available to all owners. You just
need to confirm your order with the factory.

Checking with several competent sources on the
upcoming FS2004 leads us to believe the Series 5 helos will be
compatible.
The Series 4 will be migrated towards that design
level. There are alot of Series 3 that may jump straight to
Series 5.
Whatever the case there is a whole slew of helos
in the hangars that we have been flying around with!
The new generation helos have even more attention
to detail and custom gauges.
Then ACK-ACK has elevated his pixel magic to the
new Civilian Helos for Series 5. (hint / hint)
There are also some Service kits coming out for
the Sea Dragons and Super Stallions to get the Torque Gauge to
fully work and maintain the handling. We are constant in contact
with the real pilots whom ask to liven it up more like the full
size one is. It may be big but it ain't slow!
