Heads-Up Display "HUD" Heads-up displays were pioneered in fighter jets and later, low level military helicopters. Now, Steve Hanley has produced this excellent tool for download. Below is some screen shots of Steve's HUD. If you are new to helicopter flight, this will help you visually. It opens the entire from the cockpit so you can use the visual cues and not have the default cockpit blocking your vision. This is only useful in the beginning so you can get the hang of flying around. After you get there, then I encourage you to fly in standard cockpit view and virtual cockpit view. For you ole dogs, precision flying with a HUD is a new fun way to fly. Steve did an outstanding job on this. Click on the thumbnail for exploded view. Explanation of all parts of this HUD You can still use other features you know about.
